Luka Doncic of the Mavs, who fouled out in Game 3, fumes about the officials.

DALLAS: When the official called Luka Doncic's sixth foul, he turned to face the Mavericks bench and demanded that the call be challenged, looking at him incredulously.

During the regular season, he shot 51.6% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range in 57 games, finishing with averages of 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.

The challenge was ruled unsuccessful following a replay review, sending Doncic to the bench for the last 4 minutes and 12 seconds of Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

When Doncic was ruled out, Dallas, trailing 21 points early in the fourth quarter, had closed the gap to three points.

He watched helplessly as the Mavericks were on the verge of a sweep after their 106-99 loss to the Boston Celtics at American Airlines Center on Wednesday.

Doncic was irritated for other reasons besides the referees.

However, he struggled offensively for the majority of the rest of the game. Doncic scored 27 points in the end on 11 of 27 shots.

Doncic animatedly expressed his angst to the officials after both calls, as he did on several other occasions throughout the game.
