March Madness Star DJ Burns Shares Message For Cavaliers Fan

Next month, when the NBA Summer League begins, Cleveland Cavaliers fans will recognize a familiar face as D.J. Burns will be wearing the Wine and Gold.

After the NBA Draft ended on Thursday, the N.C. State standout, who gained widespread recognition during March Madness by leading his Wolfpack team to the Final Four,

signed a contract with Cleveland. Burns' contract only allows him to play for the Cavaliers Summer League team for the time being. However, if he performs well in Las Vegas, that might alter.

Burns took to X shortly after agreeing to sign a contract to play for the Cavaliers in order to communicate with supporters.

Burns used his additional year of eligibility to play one more game for North Carolina.

It proved to be fruitful as he averaged 20.7 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, 4.6 rebounds per game and one block per game,

over the course of 41 games. He became a bonafide star, however, during an unforgettable NCAA Tournament run for the Wolfpack.

Now he finds himself suiting up for the Cavs with a chance to earn a spot on an NBA roster.
