Memphis Grizzlies Star Ja Morant Gives Injury Update

One of the most well-liked NBA players is Ja Morant.

The two-time NBA All-Star kicked off his children's camp in Memphis on Saturday.

WREG News Channel 3's Colin Cody reports that almost 600 children attended.

Morant is coming off a season in which he shot 27.5% from three-point range and 47.1% from the field in nine games to average 25.

1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game.

A season-ending injury ended his season.

Morant: "Not being able to play basketball makes me hate being around it. I don't have too much time left.

I'm eager to make sure I'm cleared to play when the season begins."

The whole roster dealt with injuries last season, so they finished as the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 27-55 record.
