No. 24 NFL offseason power rankings The New Orleans Saints are boringly mediocre.

Raiders training camp will feature incumbent Aidan O'Connell and free agent Gardner Minshew competing for the starting spot. Minshew will win if the odds are right.

At, Minshew is a -200 favorite to start Week One for the Raiders, while O'Connell is a +150 underdog.

Last season, O'Connell was a fourth-round rookie behind Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer on the Raiders' depth chart.

He started 10 games and the Raiders went 5-5. Though not terrific, O'Connell fared decently for a rookie thrown into the starting spot unexpectedly.

He may not be good enough to beat Minshew, who started 13 games last season as a backup for the Colts and went 7-6. For his career,

Minshew has 37 starts, 62.6 percent completion, 59 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions.

This year, Las Vegas is more optimistic when Antonio Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels midseason in 2023 and held the job in 2024.

Making that optimism into a winning record requires selecting the appropriate starting quarterback.
